During the visit of His Excellency the Minister of Local Government, Dr. Eng. Sami Hijjawi, accompanied by his delegation, to Surda–Abu Qash Municipality represented by its Mayor, Mr. Mohammad Mousa Ramadan, the municipality officially launched its website. The visit coincided with honoring the municipality for its achievements during the 2022–2026 electoral term.
During the visit, the municipality honored His Excellency the Minister and his accompanying delegation in recognition of their significant efforts, continuous support, and ongoing commitment to addressing the municipality’s needs and advancing its development.
A comprehensive report outlining the achievements of Surda Abu Qash Municipality during the 2022–2026 term was presented to His Excellency. The report highlighted key projects implemented, as well as efforts to develop infrastructure, improve service quality, and promote local development within the town.
This achievement comes as part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts toward digital transformation, enhancing transparency, and strengthening communication channels with citizens, in line with technological advancements and with the aim of improving the quality of services provided.
The launch of the website represents a significant step forward in the municipality’s vision to modernize administrative and service operations. The platform is user-friendly and accessible to all segments of the community, offering a wide range of electronic services and information. Among its key features are a Geographic Information System (GIS), an electronic complaints and suggestions service, updates on news, projects, and achievements, as well as various municipal services and interactive portals designed to facilitate easy access to information and services.
The municipality affirms that the website is still under continuous development, with plans to introduce additional electronic services and interactive features in the coming phase, in alignment with citizens’ needs and to further enhance service quality and community engagement.
