As part of its commitment to improving services and enhancing public safety, Surda Abu Qash Municipality is currently implementing a comprehensive plan to address street lighting issues in several areas of the town. This initiative represents a key priority within the municipality’s development agenda.
In this context, the municipality has announced a tender titled “ Surda Abu Qash Street Lighting Works” No. (SAQMun/SAQ/2026/001), with an estimated budget of approximately half a million shekels funded by the municipal budget. The project includes comprehensive maintenance of lighting networks, rehabilitation and replacement of damaged lighting units, installation of new lighting fixtures, as well as the installation of new poles in areas suffering from weak or non-existent lighting. These efforts aim to significantly improve service quality and enhance public safety.
Surda Abu Qash Municipality affirms its full awareness of the scale of street lighting challenges in certain areas and acknowledges residents’ feedback and needs. The municipality continues to work diligently to address these issues through a clear and well-structured plan.
