Surda Abu Qash Municipality, represented by its Mayor, Mr. Mohammad Mousa Ramadan, members of the Municipal Council, and several staff members, received a delegation from the Directorate of Local Government of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, headed by its Director General, Mr. Sael Hannoun.
Mr. Mohammad Mousa Ramadan welcomed the visiting delegation, expressing appreciation for the Directorate’s continuous support to the municipality. During the meeting, the delegation was briefed on the municipality’s key achievements to date, which extended beyond the implementation of qualitative projects to include institutional development, strengthening financial and administrative systems, enhancing revenues, and developing the municipality’s visual identity.
The meeting also included a review of ongoing and future projects, most notably the Surda Abu Qash Public Park, in addition to efforts to launch the municipality’s new website and develop its Geographic Information System (GIS). These initiatives aim to improve municipal performance and enhance the quality of services provided to citizens. Furthermore, several challenges facing the municipality were discussed, along with possible solutions to address them in a way that serves the public interest.
For his part, Mr. Sael Hannoun commended these achievements, noting their clear impact on strengthening the municipality’s capacity and standing within a relatively short period. He praised the efforts of the Municipal Council and staff, reaffirming the Directorate’s continued support for the municipality’s development and progress.
At the conclusion of the visit, Surda Abu Qash Municipality expressed its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Directorate of Local Government of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, represented by its Director General and all its staff, for their ongoing support and valuable contributions to advancing municipal work and local development.
