Surda Abu Qash Municipality, represented by its Mayor, Mr. Mohammad Mousa Ramadan, along with an accompanying delegation, conducted an official visit to H.E. the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Dr. Laila Ghannam. This visit comes within the framework of strengthening joint cooperation and coordination between the municipality and the governorate, in a manner that serves the residents and enhances the quality of services provided to them.
During the meeting, the Mayor expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Governor for her continuous support to Surda Abu Qash Municipality, her close follow-up on the town’s needs, and her ongoing commitment to advancing development despite the challenges and difficult circumstances.
The Mayor also presented Her Excellency with a report summarizing the key achievements of the Municipal Council during the 2022–2026 electoral term. The report highlighted major projects implemented across various sectors, in addition to outlining ongoing and future development projects within the municipality’s strategic plan.
The meeting also addressed the municipality’s focus on developing the education sector in both Surda and Abu Qash, through the implementation of several projects aimed at improving the educational environment and upgrading school facilities, thereby contributing to better learning conditions for students.
For her part, the Governor commended the significant progress achieved by Surda Abu Qash Municipality in recent years, as well as the efforts made by the Municipal Council to enhance service delivery despite ongoing challenges. She reaffirmed the Governorate’s continued support for the municipality and its future initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Surda Abu Qash Municipality expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to H.E. Governor Dr. Laila Ghannam, Deputy Governor Dr. Walid Hamdan, and the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate and its staff for their dedicated efforts, ongoing support, and constructive cooperation in serving the community and advancing local development.
The municipality also reaffirmed its commitment to continued collaboration with the Governorate in pursuit of the public interest, aiming to further improve services and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Surda and Abu Qash.
